About Hoverberget
Hoverberget is a peninsula that stands out like a landmark, 548 m.a.s.l. next to Storsjön’s southern tip and can be seen with its presence all the way from Frösön. A conservation area with excellent trails where you can experience the dramatic nature of the primeval forest, unique geology, flora, and fauna.

Visit Hoverberg
If you’re lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the Storsjöodjuret! On the Hoverbergtoppen there is a lookout tower, where you can see far and wide; lakes, forests, mountains, and parts of Lake Storsjön. There is also an information board here with exciting stories about encounters between residents of the village and the Storsjöodjuret.
Feel the presence of the mountain, and take part in various activities in the church, in the village, at the cinema, or at the local community center. At Storsjön’s shore, there is also a marina, camping, nice walking paths, and opportunities for swimming or a canoe trip.
Hike along the hiking trails on and around Hoverberget
On Hoverberget there is a nature reserve with unique nature such as the Rämnan fissure. You can reach the top of Hoverberget by hiking on hiking trails, cycling, or driving.
An experience along the way around Hoverberget is Hoverbergsgrottan – Scandinavia’s largest gorge cave with colored light play and graffiti art.
