Location
Hoverberg is located by the southern tip of Lake Storsjön, near Svenstavik, with the mountain areas of Klövsjö and Vemdalen just 30–45 minutes away. The Oviksfjällen mountains are also close by. Stay surrounded by nature with easy access to hiking, skiing and excursions all year round.
Nature & Hoverberget
Hoverberget rises 548 metres above sea level and is a striking landmark in the landscape. The area is a nature reserve with dramatic cliffs, old-growth forest and well-marked hiking trails. From the top, where there is an observation tower, you can enjoy panoramic views of Lake Storsjön, forests and mountains.

There’s something for the whole family in Hoverberg. Go hiking, cycling, fishing, kayaking or swimming in Lake Storsjön. You’ll also find a campsite with mini golf, scenic walking paths and nature experiences suitable for all ages. If you’re lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the Storsjöodjuret!
Hoverberg cave
One of the area’s most unique attractions is Hoverberg Cave, the largest fissure cave in Scandinavia. During summer, part of the cave is accessible with lighting and walkways. A memorable experience for both children and adults.
Rämnan & nature experiences
On the western side of Hoverberget lies Rämnan, a dramatic ravine with cliffs up to 25 metres high. Here you’ll find wild nature, scenic viewpoints and a true sense of adventure. The area is rich in plant and wildlife.
